Apartment Finding with a Cause: Luxury Living Chicago Gives Back to Community Through Common Threads

Luxury Living Chicago has partnered with Common Threads, a Chicago based charity that is close to our hearts. For every apartment rented with Luxury Living Chicago, a portion will be donated to Common Threads.




Founded by Chicago top chef Art Smith, Common Threads’ mission is to teach low-income children to cook wholesome and affordable meals. The organization believes that hands-on cooking classes can help prevent childhood obesity, inspire healthy eating and get kids cooking with their families.

 

Luxury Living Chicago’s mission in 2011 is to sponsor a 12-week session of after-school programming for local Chicago school children.

 

We’ve seen first hand how successful Common Threads can be as volunteers for the after school program. We’ve heard the stories and seen the results of kids taking the food and recipes home to their families and changing their lives. We’ve also attended Common Threads’ fabulous fundraising events that feature popular Chicago and national celebrity chefs.
