Where to Watch the Cubs Postseason Games in Wrigleyville

Reading Time: 2 Minutes

Tomorrow evening at 7:08pm, the Chicago Cubs will play their first post-season game since 2008. It will undoubtedly be a popular night to visit Wrigleyville, not only to watch the Cubs take on the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League wild-card game, but also because the Blackhawks season opener will be taking place at the same time. We’re hoping Wednesday will be a great night for Chicago sports fans, so we’ve compiled a list of Wrigley’s finest places to pull up a stool and support our teams.

Old Crow Smokehouse – 3506 N. Clark St.

Arrive early to grab a table at Old Crow and enjoy some apple-smoked barbecue or pulled pork nachos. The twelve-panel video walls, plus a dozen other TVs ensure you won’t miss a single play. Don’t forget the moonshine!

Goose Island Wrigleyville – 3535 N. Clark St.

With the best selection of craft beers in the neighborhood, this Goose Island location is an excellent spot to watch the game with a baked Bavarian pretzel or sausage sampler of Paulina Market’s locally made links.

Giordano’s – 1040 W. Belmont St.

Celebrate Chicago sports history in the making with a classic deep-dish. Giordano’s is serving up a specialty pizza with the Cubs’ trademark “W” written in Parmesan on top of the pie for every post-season game. Don’t expect the plethora of TVs found at a sports bar, but the game commentary is played over the speakers.

The Irish Oak – 3511 N. Clark St.

The best part about a weekday game is taking advantage of the deals- like The Irish Oak’s $5 Burger & Beer special on Wednesdays. This pub claims to have more whiskey stocked bars than any Irish bar in town, which is good for victories and curing the sorrows.

Sheffield’s – 3258 N. Sheffield Ave.

Looking for the right beer garden? Sheffield’s is the perfect spot, slightly off the beaten Wrigley path. Every different BBQ dish is delicious and tomorrow’s fall weather will work well with their Sheff’s specially-made chili.

Vines on Clark – 3554 N. Clark St.

With a big patio and two floors of indoor space, Vines on Clark will be a popular destination tomorrow night. Their specials include: $4 drafts, $5 individual pizzas, and $10 large pizzas. Plus, it’s conveniently located across the street from Wrigley Field, so you can easily join the crowds on Clark Street.
