The West Loop is now one of Chicago’s most popular neighborhoods, with a plethora of excellent restaurants mixed in along tree-lined streets. Luxury Living Chicago Realty exclusively markets and leases a portfolio of properties within the area developed by Michigan Avenue Real Estate Group. Two of the boutique buildings, Jackson Throop Place, and Madison Throop Place, opened their doors earlier this year and have been pre-leasing very quickly. In this post, our exclusive team highlights their personal favorite building and explains which features they like best.

Sarah Davlin, Residential Consultant: I just love the fact that Huron Place is such a small, boutique building and almost feels more like condos so you really get the feeling that it is your home and not just an apartment (even though they are rentals!). Since there are only four units on each floor, in essence, each one is a corner unit so they all get great natural light which is another reason I love Huron Place! Lastly, it really is a central location because of how close it is to various different neighborhoods – River North,West Loop, and Fulton Market.

Mark Ziemke, Senior Project Manager: My favorite building is Madison Aberdeen Place for several reasons. The location, high level of finishes and unique floor plans make this property extremely desirable. For example, there are corner 1-bedrooms in the 900-1000 sq. ft. range, and that’s something you simply can’t find in the West Loop, especially with these unmatched finishes. The access to all of the restaurants speaks for itself, but it’s just enough off Madison to maintain the neighborhood feel.

Matt Warman, Residential Consultant: At 1247 & 1249 W. Madison, Madison Throop Place‘s prime West Loop location is tough to beat. The large, stainless steel single basin sinks are my favorite feature- they look great and add a lot of convenience to your daily routines.

David Cecchini, Residential Consultant: Jackson Throop Place has so much to offer: spacious floor plans, gorgeous finishes, and a prime neighborhood surrounding.  I specifically love the 08 floor plan, which features huge bedrooms, large windows in both bedrooms, walk-in closets, and an east facing view of Chicago’s picturesque skyline – this unit has it all.  The brand-new building is perched upon the tree-lined Jackson Boulevard; with surrounding residences, schools, and parks that give it a one of a kind neighborhood feel.

Allie Cohen, Residential ConsultantMadison Aberdeen Place is my favorite West Loop property. I love the location, as it is the furthest east and directly on Madison Street. It might not be the newest property in the portfolio, but I think the layouts are most spacious and when you pair that with the location, there is nothing like it.

Michael Heimann, Project Manager: My favorite building in the West Loop Portfolio is Jackson Throop Place. The location is ever so slightly more private, with all the major attractions just a hop, skip, and a jump away. Finishes are elegant and the appliances provided are top tier. Floor plans are also extremely livable and convenient for residents in every stage of life.
