As the weather in Chicago heats up for the summer, here at Luxury Living Chicago Realty we find ourselves craving fresh fruits and veggies. That’s why we’ve rounded up four of the best farmers markets in the city for you to check out!

Green City Market

This Lincoln Park market is Chicago’s largest and first year-round sustainable farmers market. It connects farmers and local producers directly to chefs and the greater Chicago community. You can grab some fresh cut flowers at the Garden Offerings & Petal Farm, have some yummy bites at one of the multiple vendors, or watch a chef demo.

Where: South end of Lincoln Park at the intersection of Clark and Lincoln

When: Wednesdays & Saturdays 7AM – 1PM

Logan Square Farmers Market

This market is full of fresh local produce, baked goods, and restaurant vendors. You can find everything here from blueberry sellers to pickle stands. Logan Square’s market is most enjoyable on a warm afternoon; so stop by next Sunday with family or friends and pick up fresh produce while listening to the local live music.

Where: Logan Blvd and Milwaukee Ave

When: Sundays 10AM – 3PM

Wicker Park Farmers Market

If you’re looking for a different variety of products, check out the farmers market in Wicker Park, which opened for the summer on June 3rd. The Sunday market is great for families as there is a play area for kids, an array of food samples, and food educational lessons. A must-see here is the “cheese-man”, a vendor that fries up cheese samples!

Where: Damen Ave, between Schiller St. & Wicker Park Ave

When Sunday from 8AM – 2PM

Daley Plaza Farmers Market

Located in the heart of the Loop, the Daley Plaza Farmers Market operates every Thursday which makes it the perfect place for a quick lunch. If you work in the area or happen to find yourself there, stop by Chicago’s longest running market. The location of the market is a unique one as it’s in a busy district and right next to the Picasso statue.

Where: Daley Plaza at Washington St. and Clark St.

When: Thursdays 7AM – 3PM

We hope you indulge in the Midwest’s finest produce this summer at one of these market! Don’t forget to tag us in your pics @LuxuryLivingChicago.
